Duffy's Nightwatch
Summer fireplace screen (glass 90cm x 60cm). Three sheets of low iron glass set into a walnut log with wrought iron work.
The Duffy, the Eagle Owl and the other owls were based on photos taken at the Hawk Conservancy Trust, Hampshire. This was engraved for a charity exhibition at the Trust.
In order to meet Health and Safety standards the sheets were toughened after being engraved, by being passed through a furnace at a temperature of over 700C for several minutes
