Patricia Hilton-Robinson - Glass Engraver

Welcome to my website which sets out a selection of my engraved glass. I use a variety of Glass Engraving techniques including drill, sandblast and stipple but am always willing to experiment. I have been fortunate to be taught by many of the Fellows of the Guild of Glass Engravers although I also had to find my own way whilst living in the Middle and Far East.

I work in both clear and coloured glass each of which demands a different approach. I love engraving flora and architecture but most of all I enjoy working with clients on commissions. The challenge of creating a personalised present or presentation gives me enormous pleasure as does the feedback from the recipient.

I was first inspired whilst watching wheel engravers at an Austrian Glass factory but did not take up Glass Engraving until the early 1990's. I joined the Guild of Glass Engravers and was elected an Associate Fellow in 2002. I mainly engrave to commission but also exhibit nationally with the Guild and at other specialist glass exhibitions/fairs.
